June 2026 – Leading legal publication Daily Journal has named Kendall Brill and Kelly (KBK) partner Cassie D. Palmer as one of California’s Top Women Lawyers for 2026. The recognition, awarded annually, honors “the women lawyers shaping California’s legal landscape.”

In its profile of Ms. Palmer, the publication spotlighted her 16 years of legal experience, deep understanding of the justice system, and significant representations during her career, including her work on “one of the most far-reaching public-corruption prosecutions in the region’s history” as co-lead trial counsel prosecuting the Los Angeles City Hall corruption investigation, a complex securities-fraud and money-laundering prosecution that led to more than $215 million in investor losses, and civil-rights and police-misconduct litigation involving allegations of excessive force, illegal firearm sales, extortion, and constitutional deprivations under color of law. The publication emphasized her ability to find “the human story inside the evidence while staying grounded in the law.”

A former senior federal prosecutor and section chief with more than fifteen years of litigation experience, Cassie D. Palmer brings trial acumen, seasoned judgment, and strategic insight to high-stakes disputes. For more than a decade, she served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, where she earned a national reputation for success in landmark corruption, securities-fraud, and civil-rights prosecutions. In addition to this latest award, she was named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s Women of Influence list for 2026. In 2025, prior to rejoining KBK, the Los Angeles County Bar Association named her Prosecutor of the Year.

In closing, the Daily Journal commended Ms. Palmer for her outlook on legal integrity, quoting her as saying: “Justice is not automatic. It is made real by the people doing the work every day.”
