OCTOBER 2018 – Kendall Brill & Kelly LLP is honored to have been named one of the state’s “Top Boutique” law firms in 2018 by the editors of California’s largest legal publication, the Daily Journal. KBK, one of just 20 boutique firms to receive the honor in 2018, was recognized for its complex litigation practice and its “addition of a cadre of top-tier litigators.”

In recognizing KBK, the Daily Journal took note of the additions in the past two years of KBK Partners Robert Edward Dugdale, Janet E. Levine and Jeffrey H. Rutherford, enhancing the firm’s white collar defense and government investigations practice.

The Daily Journal also pointed out that KBK has continued to secure litigation victories for its entertainment and media clients in “contract, tort, copyright, profit participation, firm finance and distribution disputes, among others.”

In addition, the publication recognized KBK’s continuing commitment to civic engagement and pro bono representation. It noted partner Laura W. Brill’s signature-gathering campaign to support federal judges facing criticism for their decisions. The Daily Journal also recognized KBK’s pro bono work on behalf of the League of Women Voters in a successful challenge to gerrymandering in Pennsylvania.

This was the second time the publication has recognized KBK as a “Top Boutique” firm. The JD Journal, a national publication dedicated to analysis of trends in the legal profession, has also named KBK one of Los Angeles’ top litigation boutiques.
