January 2026 – Lawdragon, a legal media company that regularly recognizes the nation’s leading lawyers, has inducted Kendall Brill & Kelly LLP Partner Janet I. Levine as a member of its 2026 Hall of Fame for her “remarkable contributions to the legal profession.”
Lawdragon’s Hall of Fame, now in its eleventh year, honors the most distinguished lawyers in the country who have “advocated, advised, argued and analyzed on behalf of their clients, changing laws, lives, countries and commerce for, typically, at least 40 years.” It reflects a permanent group of honorees, updated on an annual basis, that celebrates some of the nation’s most famous lawyers, notable public interest figures, and titans of academia.
Throughout her storied career, Ms. Levine has served as one of the nation’s leading lawyers in white collar defense and government investigations. She has successfully represented corporations, politicians, judges, directors, officers, executives, and licensed professionals in varied industries. She is one of the few lawyers to ever try a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) case to trial – resulting in the successful dismissal of all charges against her client based on prosecutorial misconduct.
Her accomplishments have won her accolades and honors, including two California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) awards and regular recognition from publications including the National Law Journal, Daily Journal, Benchmark Litigation, Global Investigations Review, Lawdragon, and Los Angeles Business Journal. Chambers USA currently ranks her among California’s top litigators for White Collar Crime & Government Investigations and has described her as a “preeminent authority on white-collar litigation defense.” She was also recently recognized as “Lawyer of the Year” by The Best Lawyers in America in 2025.
Ms. Levine is currently a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal associations in North America.
