June 2023 – Kendall Brill & Kelly Partner Nary Kim was recently named to national legal publication Law360’s 2023 Media & Entertainment Editorial Advisory Board.
Law360, which describes itself as “a one-stop news source for legal news and analysis,” annually selects a limited group of attorneys who are considered experts in their field to contribute their expertise and insight. As one of eleven distinguished attorneys on the publication’s Media and Entertainment Board, Ms. Kim will be relied upon to provide feedback and offer “expert insight on how best to shape future coverage.”
In recognizing Ms. Kim, the publication noted that she is “an accomplished litigator” with a track record of building “compelling and convincing cases for a wide range of high-profile clients.”
Ms. Kim originally joined KBK in 2016 and was promoted to Partner in just five years, having demonstrated the expertise needed to develop winning cases for KBK’s clients. She has helped the firm win favorable judgments and arbitration victories for major film studios and other entertainment clients, including helping secure the dismissal of a high-profile lawsuit seeking $500 million brought by two former actors in the 1968 film adaptation of “Romeo and Juliet” in May 2023. She also played a leading role in securing the dismissal of a child pornography case filed by the person pictured on the album cover of Nirvana’s “Nevermind.”
Ms. Kim has received numerous accolades in honor of her achievements, including Law 360’s Rising Star Award, Variety’s “Up Next” recognition, and Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under list. In 2022 she was named to the Board of Directors of Public Counsel, the nation’s largest provider of pro bono legal services.
