June 2026 – Kendall Brill and Kelly (KBK) Partners Janet I. Levine and Jeffrey H. Rutherford have been named to Los Angeles Magazine’s inaugural “Best of L.A. Legal 2026” list for their work in white collar criminal defense.
The new guide highlights attorneys “who are doing meaningful work and meet the legal needs” of the Los Angeles community. Honorees were selected through a robust process that included a third-party data team, surveys, recommendations, ranking review, and editorial perspective.
Ms. Levine is a trial and appellate attorney with extensive experience handling securities, health care and tax fraud, and public corruption matters. She has a record of winning first-of-a-kind trials and handling ground-breaking and high-profile matters, and throughout her career she has successfully represented corporations, politicians, judges, executives, and licensed professionals in varied industries.
Mr. Rutherford, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), is recognized as one of the region’s top criminal and civil defense attorneys. His practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, complex civil litigation, and civil and criminal trial work, and clients regularly turn to him for representation in sensitive and confidential matters.
