May 2026 – KBK Partners Nary Kim and Cassie D. Palmer have been named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2026 list of Women of Influence: Attorneys, which annually recognizes “the region’s most influential women legal professionals” for their legal skill, leadership, professional achievement, and contributions to the L.A. community.
This latest recognition marks Ms. Kim’s third consecutive year receiving this award. The Los Angeles Business Journal’s profile describes her as “an accomplished litigator who has helped build compelling and convincing cases for a wide range of high-profile clients” including major film and television studios, music labels and brands, top-tier law firms, and leading entertainment figures and artists. The Los Angeles Business Journal specifically highlighted Ms. Kim’s trial-court and appellate expertise in entertainment, media, and complex litigation – abilities that have led to successful resolutions in some of Hollywood’s biggest cases, including her recent headline-grabbing win for Nirvana and Universal Music Group.
Ms. Palmer’s profile praised KBK’s newest Partner for bringing “trial acumen, seasoned judgment, and strategic insight to high-stakes disputes.” A former senior federal prosecutor and section chief with more than 15 years of litigation experience, including over a decade in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, Ms. Palmer was recognized for her current role serving as lead counsel for L.A. County in a pending federal civil rights class action challenging conditions of confinement at Century Regional Detention Facility.
