August 2023 — The Best Lawyers in America©, a legal publication with forty years’ history of recognizing lawyers and firms on a peer-review basis, named eight KBK attorneys in its 2024 edition for their contributions to their respective fields over the past year: Laura W. Brill, Robert L. Corbin, Bert H. Deixler, Robert Edward Dugdale, Richard B. Kendall, Janet I. Levine, Jeffrey H. Rutherford, and Patrick J. Somers for their contributions.
Ms. Brill was recognized for her contributions in Appellate Practice, Commercial Litigation, Entertainment Law – Motion Pictures and Television, Litigation – First Amendment, and Media Law. The publication honored Mr. Corbin for his work in the categories of Commercial Litigation and Criminal Defense: White-Collar. Mr. Deixler was recognized for his work in five categories: Bet-the-Company Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Entertainment Law – Motion Pictures and Television, Entertainment Law – Music, and Litigation – Intellectual Property.
Mr. Kendall was honored for his achievements in Bet-the-Company Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and Entertainment Law – Motion Pictures and Television. Ms. Levine earned recognition for her work in four areas: Commercial Litigation, Criminal Defense: General Practice, Criminal Defense: White-Collar, and Litigation – Securities.
Mr. Dugdale and Mr. Rutherford were both named to the Best Lawyers list for their contributions in Criminal Defense: White-Collar. Mr. Somers was honored for his work in Commercial Litigation.
